Feast Like Pigs

Today was good. I love my church. I never appreciated it as much as I do now...after being gone for a month, having to go to other churches. My pastor called me out today, making fun of my bubbley personality that kicks in after about 10am...knowing I am not a morning person...mentioning that God is using my personality, my gifts and leading me to Ukraine. Man, it really helped confirm that I do have a team here in Conway; I do have a community that loves and supports me.

It was so cool how the message today went along with what I learned at MTI! Today started a series on "Finding Your Shape: How you fit into God's plan." We are God's Masterpiece, and through His sovereignty He has given us spiritual gifts, hearts/passions, abilities, personalities, and experiences (this may look familar to something like Rick Warren's Purpose Driven whatever...but it's different). At MTI we did a lot of self-discovery stuff. I learned so much about myself and about how I relate, or lack thereof, to others. All the way home I listened to some Mark Driscoll sermons on spiritual gifts. It's like God's trying to tell me something...huh...Kooky! Anyway, I just really enjoy my pastor. I learn so much from him.

I just want to feed on the Word. To get all I can and bask in the knowledge and glory of my Father. Man, good day.

"He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord." Deuteronomy 8:3

I do have a prayer request as well. It isn't necessarily for me. It's for God to work quickly with the support and getting me to Ukraine in order to show His glory and provision to those I love. Sure this will help me out, but I can wait as long as I need (though I don't want to, I will) because I know God will provide. I know He is faithful. They don't. I pray God blows them away.

"For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragment of the Scriptures we might have hope...May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:4, 13
