*Warm weather in January *Delicious food *Sweet smell of garbage everywhere *Getting hit on by skeezy men *The odd comfort of feeling like I'm in a different country *Lots of great photo opps *Super friendly people (even the skeezy ones) *Not-so-much the cleanest city ever *Chicory, beignets, & pralines *Everyone claiming they're the "First (fill in the blank) in America!" *Crazy expensive everything *Fancy meets trashy within blocks of each other *The familiarity & love of walking everywhere we want to go *A new experience that I'm happy to have!
