Jan 24, 2011

For the first time in 4.5 months I feel like doing something.  By something I mean, well, not nothing.  January has been a good month for me.  By no means has it been easy or lacking in emotional turmoil (my every day), but compared to September through December, January has by far been my favorite.  Something inside of me is stirring.  I feel a push to get out of the house/town/state/whatever, make a change, and be a productive (or semi-productive) member of society, contributing something (there's that word again) to life--mine and possibly others.  I have NO IDEA what this something or somewhere is, but at least I feel a desire to find it.  It's been a while since I've felt this stirring, mixed with some excitement and fear.  This is good.  I've started with doing some substitute teaching.  I am really enjoying this: cool kids (leaving out the hooligans to maintain the positivity of this post), work flexibility, fair/good-enough-for-now pay, responsibility but not too much that it's super overwhelming, low-stress, and just fun.  I shall continue on this path until I get the other something and somewhere figured out.  Now I'm off to google what somethings are out there!
