I'll give you ten cents for it!

My life has been non-stop crazy lately. Even more so than normal. I just had a garage sale fundraiser at my church to help raise some much need one-time support. It was some of the hardest work I have done in a long time! Several families at church, people from work, and my family all donated stuff for me to sell. I have some wonderful people in my life. This, though, gave me SO MUCH stuff! I thought my feet would never be the same, from working all week to get the sale together. I'm not complaining, though, because God blew my mind. I raised double my goal!! It was amazing. I cried.

Garage sales are such quarky events. It's like the county fair (except without funnel cakes and fried foods on a stick)...you have so many different types of people, from all walks of life. It's a neat time to get to know others in your community: the good, the bad, and the ugly. I posted everywhere that this was a fundraiser. A raiser for someone in need of funds to do good things. It didn't matter. There were still those "special" people who refused to pay the sticker price, even if it was only a quarter, and try to get whatever they could for as cheap as I could. Some just decided to take what they wanted and drove off, never paying a visit to the check out table. Maybe they were planning to come back later and pay for and just forgot....ya, that's it. Never the less...it is a great way to raise money. I'll post some pictures later. Here's one:

What is that picture of? Is that a picture from one of your garage sale security cameras of a guy who ran off with your sweet electric guitar and never came back to pay for it or even say thank you? Jerk.
