It's only just begun

Well, I got back in at midnight thirty Saturday morning from Wheaton, IL. I was there for Josiah Venture training. Honestly, I really didn't know what to expect going into it. I had no idea what we were going to do, and I actually was a little nervous. My nerves were soon calmed the moment I met my roommates for the next four days. We had a great time! Training was an amazing time of getting to know other missionaries in training, the organization, and other current members of the JV family. And...it is just that, a family, and FINALLY I totally feel a part of that family. I've felt somewhat disconnected since I've started the missionary in training process, but now I know people and feel that they know me. This was the biggest thing I got out of training.

Of course, we also went through tons of logistical stuff that made my head explode, but I was able to put the pieces back together and enjoy myself. We also did tons of talking. From the moment I got out of my car Tuesday until I left Friday afternoon, we talked. We had a good group (7 of us; 5 staying the house), and we all brought different personalities to the table and got along well. I also finally got to meet Ben and Kristy Williams, my new teammates who will be joining the Hughes and I in Ukraine. They are actually moving to Ukraine in January! Jealous. I think they are going to be awesome addition to the team and have tons of ministry experience and personality to the table. Kristy is the organized one and Ben is the A.D.D. one. Since I'm a bit of both, I think we will complete one another well. :-)
Here are some pictures from the trip. ENJOY!!

She forgot to mention her coolest roommate was Mike. He is pictured several times above. You all really should get to know him.
